MV Salamis Filoxenia operated by Salamis Lines vessel picks up Syrian refugees from fishing boat off west coast of Cyprus. Cruise ship 15,400-gt Cypriot-flagged MV Salamis Filoxenia (built 1975) brought the refugees on board. Most were women and children, according to local authorities. Trawler had carried the migrants from Syria to Cyprus only a few days after US bombings in the Middle East.
