Spanish ports incapable against the risk of attacks and terrorism.

Spanish ports are being taken to the European Court of Justice because these ports are incapable of implementing the European Commission’s (EC) security plan. 20 Spanish terminals did not meet the deadline, set for the end of 2013, for adopting the Commission’s provisions.
The main objective of European port security is to provide protection for ships and port facilities against the risk of attacks and terrorism. Countries where inspectors fail to verify that application of the measures is monitored are asked to prepare national action plans.
