Polys L Haji-Ioannou chasing TMT Nobu Su

A judgement in a case being brought by Monaco-based shipowner Polys L Haji-Ioannou and his companies against Today Makes Tomorrow chairman Nobu Su and his TMT entities will likely be made known by next week. Judge Jeremy Cooke, sitting in London’s High Court today to hear closing submissions in the case, told the barristers representing the two owners that they would have his judgement after the weekend.
Haji-Ioannou and Nobu Su were in court Friday to hear the summing up of what has been a five-day hearing over a failed deal on forward freight agreements (FFAs) struck over six years ago.
Haji-Ioannou’s barrister, Stephen Phillips described Nobu Su as “an out and out liar”.Stephen Phillips argued that the deal between the two men was an oral contract and the Taiwanese owner is personally liable.
