Henry Blaustein died age 71

Henry Blaustein, a former executive with companies including OMI Corp, ZIM and Zodiac Maritime, died Monday at Calvary Hospital in the Bronx, New York, after a battle with non-Hodgkins lymphoma. He was 71. Shipping veteran, Henry Blaustein, had worked for seven years at the former OMI Corp, serving as senior Vice President of OMI Marine Services at his departure in 2004.

Henry Blaustein was native of Poland and a Holocaust survivor and later moved to Germany and Israel before coming to the US for ZIM. Among his survivors is his son, Benjamin Blaustein, a lawyer in the bankruptcy and reorganisation practice of New York firm Seward & Kissel.
