Eastern Pacific scrapped capesize bulk carrier

Eastern Pacific, Idan Ofer controlled, has sold a 1995-built capesize bulk carrier 161,000-dwt MV Cape Hawk  for demolition
MV Cape Hawk is sold to Bangladesh for an undisclosed price, presumed to be in excess of $8m. The vessel was due for special survey before the end of 2014.
Eastern Pacific earlier this month (December) sold two 1990s built capesizes for further trading. The 151,000-dwt Cape Merlin (built 1994) went for $10.5m and the 171,000-dwt Cape Stork (built 1996) for $15.2m.

Idan Ofer company also has the 122,000-dwt bulker MV Fernie (built 1996) up for sale.  Eastern Pacific has 13 capesizes built between 1993 and 2013 in its fleet.
