Marine Insurance Brokers merged

Two leading marine insurance brokers have strengthened their cooperation by forming a joint venture with turnover of $450m. Italy’s Cambiaso Risso Marine and Norway’s Henschien Insurance Services said the Italian company would hold a majority stake in the combined operation, with four senior managers at its partner also owning some of the combined entity. Henschien will continue under its own name in Bergen, with Petter Meyer as the new managing director.
Henschien Insurance Services is strong in the Scandinavian market, with the balance in London, Italy and Asia.
Cambiaso Risso Marine is strong in Italy, Greece, Switzerland, Monte Carlo and Singapore.
Henschien & Cambiaso said they “strongly believe this new venture will preserve the interests of all clients, the staff and the excellent brand name of Henschien Insurance Services whilst equally creating new, exciting opportunities in Scandinavia and other parts of the world.”
