Greece’s Diana Shipping 82,000-dwt kamsarmax Maia (built 2009) will receive a daily rate of $12,000, less a 5% commission to third parties, over a year to 16 months.
Due to scheduled maintenance, the charter is expected to commence by the end of September, Diana said.
The owner also confirmed its newly delivered 179,000-dwt capesize GP Zafirakis will earn $25,250 per day from RWE until June 2016 at the latest.
Diana has 39 bulkers.
