Scorpio, Flinter, Solvang, Nordic Tankers and Ardmore Shipping Corporation have joined forces with 12 other companies which established the Trident Alliance in early July. Trident Alliance is headed by Roger Strevens of Wallenius Wilhemsen Logistics.
Trident Alliance members also include Maersk, Hoegh Autoliners, Stena and Torvald Klaveness.
Trident Alliance will represent around 7% of the shipping industry's global bunker consumption. The main target is to make sure that low-sulphur regulations to be introduced on 1 January 2015 will be implemented.
