Vietnam's deputy prime minister Hoang Trung Hai wants national shipowner Vinalines to expand its bulker market share. Hoang Trung Hai asked the restructured Vinalines to take measures to carry more coal, cement, ore and rice.
Hoang Trung Hai told the ministry of transport to cooperate with state-run Vietnam Development Bank to free money for the Vinalines and also wants its privatisation accelerated to cut losses.
Vinalines fleet has shrunk since the beginning of financial crisis in 2008.
