China's import volumes of iron ore and coking coal are looking increasingly disconnected despite the price of both steel-making ingredients tumbling. Iron ore imports gained 2.4 percent to 227 million tonnes in the first quarter over the same period a year earlier, while coking coal purchases dropped 15.7 percent to 10.9 million tonnes.
