The International Grains Council raised its forecast for global corn production in 2015/16 although it remained well shy of the prior season's record crop with a drawdown in stocks still anticipated. The IGC, in a monthly update, forecast that a global corn (maize) crop in 2015/16 of 951 million tonnes, up 10 million from the previous month's projection but well below the prior season's record 994 million.
