Frank Jensen stepped down as Clipper Group's chairman

Frank Jensen has been replaced in the role by Peter Appel who took up the post on 2 July. The appointment was only confirmed in a statement over the weekend. Frank Jensen remains chairman of the board for Clipper Group, the privately owned company with core business in dry bulk shipping. Under Danish law, the chairman of the board of a company cannot be the managing director or chief executive.

The board of directors for Clipper Group A/S now consists of Appel, Torben Jensen as vice-chairman, Frank Jensen and Mikael Skov.

The primary activities of Clipper Group A/S, are ferry services in Denmark, ro-ro ferry services in the Irish Sea, commercial and technical management as well as administrative services for other companies in the Clipper Group.

Appel, who is also chairman of Danish law firm Gorrissen Federspiel, has been a member of the board of Clipper Group A/S since 2012.
