Ukrainian steelmakers plan to cut steel output by about 5 percent in October to 1.9 million tonnes. Ukrainian steel production fell 24 percent in the first eight months of 2015 to 15.04 million tonnes, mostly due to the military conflict in the east of the country where most of its steel factories are based. Steel mills also expect to produce 1.9 million tonnes of pig iron and 1.8 million tonnes of rolled steel in Octobe.
