On Wednesday the Baltic Dry Index had slipped to 519 points with each of the key markets seeing earnings decline. The latest fall at what is traditionally the strongest point of the year for bulker owners leaves the BDI just 10 points above the all-time low of 509 points set on 18 February this year.
