Jinhui Shipping and Transportation has seen its net loss for the third quarter come in at more than double those of a year ago. The Hong Kong and Oslo-listed shipowner booked a loss of $32m for the three months to 30 September versus a loss of $15.7m a year ago. It blamed the loss on the weak freight market as well as an unrealized loss of $21.9m on its investment portfolio following the abrupt correction in global stock markets.
