Wheat ratings decline in Illinois, improve in Oklahoma

Condition ratings for winter wheat in Illinois declined during December after heavy rains flooded part of the state, but more than half the crop was still seen as good to excellent. The government rated 58 percent of the Illinois winter wheat crop in good to excellent condition for the month ended Dec. 31, down from 67 percent in its previous state report, which was for the week ended Nov. 29.
