MV Marine Phoenix EBOLA virus scare

Ebola panic in New Orleans caused by MV Marine Phoenix this week when it docked with a critically ill crew member.
Authorities later diagnosed a case of malaria on the 400,884-cbf MV Marine Phoenix (built 1994) on Wednesday.
MV Marine Phoenix had called at the port of Matadi in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), a region that has reported cases of Ebola.
MV Marine Phoenix's one crewman fell ill and was disembarked in the Bahamas two days previously. He was diagnosed with malaria and later died. An Ebola test was negative.
