Seanergy Maritime Holdings $1m net loss

Seanergy Maritime Holdings reported a $1m net loss for the third quarter as the Athens-based company ramped up fleet size amid a challenging market for dry bulk operators. Seanergy reported a $0.02 per share loss for the third quarter while vessel revenue was $2.6m for the quarter. The Stamatis Tsantanis-led company agreed to acquire seven second-hand ships during the third quarter, five capesize and two supramax vessels, adding to the company’s single capesize vessel. Seanergy took delivery of two vessels during September, with the remainder delivered during the fourth quarter.
